Another week has come to an end, and now, it's time for our weekly recap of the best things on the cat side of the internet.

We did it again, friends. We have made it to the weekend. There were some moments when we weren't sure it would happen. So many crazy things are happening all at once in the world right now, and everything feels a little shaky and unsure. The one thing though, at least on the internet, that never changes, is the people's love for cats. And that is what we are here to enjoy today. The thought of stealing literally makes us sweat profusely. We've never even shoplifted anything because we know we would get caught for acting pawsitively suspicious. But, if we ever were faced with the option of letting a cat freeze and drink dirty water outside, or steal them from their "owners" and take them into our house, we wouldn't hesitate for a second.

Splitting up bonded pairs is something that we are always, always against. Bonded pairs need one another. They are each other's other halves. But what happens if splitting them up is necessary? What happens when you, as the one adopting, see no other choice? Maybe that choice exists, but it doesn't exist in that moment, you don't see it, you don't know what to do. When that happens, you call someone who you think might help. Although we don't think that the friend who made the phone call in this story knew what amazing thing the person the called would do.

What more do you need other than a cat in serious trouble running up to you in the middle of a road. Oh you need them to willingly get into your car, sure no problem. You need them to wait for you patiently in the car without turning it into a pile of shredded fabric for freaking out about being locked in a car, you got it. You need that cat to come crying to you after you left it in the shelter, no problem.

When Dr. Seuss wrote "The Cat in the Hat", we're not quite sure this is what he was imagining. However, this is far better. Jeremy Smith, AKA the "BeltLine Cat Guy", was born deaf. He adopted Whisker when she was maybe 3-months-old, from a homeless man who offered her to him for $100. After about two weeks of training, Whisker became comfortable sitting on Jeremy's shoulders, even riding on his bike with him. From there, Whisker adopted her adorable spot on top of his head.
